Early on, Pentacon AG also became active in the field of “project management”, especially in the role of an external project manager for internal projects for which the required expertise was not available within the organisation. From this extensive experience in handling complex projects, the idea developed to record this practical knowledge in book form.

A team of authors started to publish the following reference books in German and English at Springer Publishing, Berlin which are now already available in the completely revised 5th edition. The largely identical books represent the cutting edge of this domain of knowledge and are used as standard works in many companies, universities and education institutes.
